Hero was found in the village of Magoulades in the north of Corfu. He was in a truly horrific state. Due to an untreated illness called leishmaniasis, he had lost most of his fur, and his ears and joints were bleeding. He weighed only 7 kilos and could barely walk. After two months in our care, Hero has started to feel much better. He has gained weight and is now happy, wagging his tail. He doesn’t get along with younger dogs, and he only tolerates cats that are household pets, not unfamiliar outdoor cats. Although he was abandoned when he was sick and in poor condition, Hero still loves humans, children, and any form of attention. We hope that one day he will be happy and loved in a forever home.
